Pierre-André Lavoie joined the SDK team in 2006 as a junior design engineer. Quickly, he became the main designer, then project manager. In 2020, the role of partner is added to his assets. Through the many stages ranging from the development of concepts to the realization on site, he demonstrates commitment and listening in order to ensure to all the collaborators involved, a neat work as well as a positive team dynamic and cordial.

Versatile, he carries out his activities as project manager and principal designer while supervising the engineers and technicians who work in his team. Renowned for his rigorous working methods and his clear words, Pierre-André carries out projects of all kinds including, among others, hospital, institutional, university and industrial buildings, for both the public and private sectors. It makes a contribution through its particular involvement in metal framework projects and the rehabilitation of heritage buildings.

In 2006, at Laval University, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural option. In the winter of 2010, he seized the opportunity to teach the course “Statics and resistance of materials” at the University of Montreal. With his responsibilities as an associate engineer, he now devotes himself exclusively to SDK and is actively involved in the transfer of knowledge internally in order to constantly raise the level of technical knowledge of the team.
