Pierre Malenfant joined the SDK team in 2000 and became a project leader and an associate in 2006. Responsible for the office’s continuous training process, he remains at the forefront of new structural engineering techniques. A thorough designer who’s attentive to clients, architects, and other professionals involved in the projects he carries out, he advocates a proactive style of work where interdisciplinary coordination plays a key role early in the concept phase.
A designer of complex structures, Pierre is a specialist in 3D seismic analysis and seismic rehabilitation. His experience includes several university and hospital buildings, concert halls, libraries, spectacular architectural elements as well as numerous mandates in the far north of Québec.
After completing the civil engineering technologies program at Collège Ahuntsic and his bachelor’s degree in engineering at the École de Technologie Supérieure in 1994, Pierre Malenfant continued his education at the University of Sherbrooke, where he obtained a master’s degree in 1997. Curious and motivated, he works hard to further his knowledge through various seminars and training courses in structural analysis and design.
