Stéphan Blais started his career at SDK in 1989. Becoming an associate in 1995, he is now company vice president and acts as project leader and administrator. Passionate about structural design and always ready to get involved, he leads design and drawing teams while taking part in project development on a daily basis. He feels that by sharing his deep understanding of construction and design skills with his team, each project will be successful.

Experienced and versatile, he has completed several major projects for SDK, both the public and private sectors. He has been credited for many multi-level buildings and residential towers along with large commercial and industrial buildings. His achievements also include unique and complex architecturally significant structures, such as monumental staircases and performance venues. He is proficient in steel, concrete and timber structure design.

Stéphan Blais graduated in civil engineering from Polytechnique Montréal in 1989. Interested in sustainability, he became a LEED BD+C accredited professional member of the Canada Green Building Council in 2007, a certification he keeps up-to-date through continuing education. He has participated in several symposiums on wood construction, studied the WELL standard, and has interests in innovative construction methods.
